When the dot com era took off, Margaret and her husband sold their business to British Telecom for in excess of 100 million pound. Knighted by the Queen in 2000 for services to industry they moved to Yorkshire to enjoy a quiet country life and to engage in various charities.
Resides: Lawler’s Loft Guesthouse, near Bangalow, NSW, Australia where she operates a cooking school and carries out some part time amateur sleuthing.

FAMILY

Spouse: Widowed in 2007. Not married since although there are a few suitors. Afraid of losing her knighthood if she does.

Car: 2006 Mercedes Benz 250 SLK, red. A sign of luxury and class without being pretentious.
Education: B.Hotel Management - 2000 - Mumbai, India. Later attended cooking school in London. 
Career: Came to Australia for a holiday and stayed. She loves the country and people but also wants to escape her father. She is very determined to establish herself as a business owner in Australia. She owns her own guesthouse where she runs a very successful cooking school specialising in Indian cuisine. Her ambition is to open a chain of Indian fast food outlet; Spice Girl. She is also a part time amateur sleuth. 
Resides: Guesthouse owner, just outside Pottsville, NSW, Australia. She also runs her cooking school here.

Marital Status:  Single. Secretly has desires for the local detective Cameron Stewart. He needs some encouragement - he's not picking up her interest signs.
Father: Rousi Sharma. Rice king, Mumbai, India. Selena is his only child and he desperately wants her to return to India to eventually takeover the family business. He also wants Selena to marry the son of a textile billionaire. Selena is not interested!

Education: B.Bus – Accountancy (incomplete) – QUT, Brisbane
Career: Joined the Queensland Police Force in 1989 amidst a wild period of corruption involving senior police and politicians. Spent 10 years policing on on the Gold Coast before returning to Brisbane as a Detective Constable.

Quit the Qld Police after heated arguments with his boss (later proven to be correct by his jailing) and moved to the NSW Police Force taking up a post as Detective Sergeant at the Kingscliff Police Station, Kingscliff, NSW. Jack thought a quiet, seaside village on the Tweed Coast would be idyllic. It’s not. He’s still ruffling the feathers of senior management and he hates his Chief Superintendent O’Halloran. Life goes on.
Resides: Family home in Brisbane but rents a 2 brm apartment at the Seaview Motel, Cypress Ave, Cabarita Beach during the week. Tries to return to Brisbane on the weekends, but in his job that’s rare. Murder doesn’t always occur Monday – Friday.

FAMILY

Wife: Sandra Creed. Nationality – Scottish. Married – 1989. Lives in Brisbane with their daughter. A retired nurse.
Daughter: Melissa. Born 1993. Has some mental health issues but is improving. Resides in Brisbane because of better medical facilities.

Education: B.Criminology – Southern Cross University, Lismore.
Career: Joined NSW Police Force in 2009, stationed at Lismore Police Station, NSW. Moved into the Armed Robbery Squad as a Detective Constable in 2012 before transferring to Kingscliff Police Station in 2014 to join Jack Creed in the Murder Squad
Resides: A small cottage in the country close to Bangalow.

FAMILY

Spouse: None. Recently divorced from Brett Wright who cheated on her with her best friend. No children. Finds it hard to date again, has trust issues. Admires her father who has now passed.
Father: Bruno Boston. Considered a hero in the region. A 35 year policeman with a pedigree reputation. Loved by the town folk and his colleagues. Jo wants to be like her father.
